Together, Dr. Loleta Wood Foster and LTC Benjamin Foster (Ret) have dedicated their adult lives to service and to Methodist University.
As a psychologist and owner of a private counseling practice, Loleta helps people become the best versions of themselves every day. Outside of her practice, she has delivered countless professional development workshops for women in the community. Before retirement, Benjamin, known as "Benny," served our nation's mission as an officer in the U.S. Army.
They are both longtime supporters of Methodist University. Loleta even served for 30 years on the board of trustees before transitioning to Trustee Emerita in 2023.
By naming MU as a beneficiary in her life insurance policy, Loleta has made what she calls "A Forever Gift" supporting MU in perpetuity. The proceeds will be added to the Dr. Loleta Wood Foster and LTC Benjamin F. Foster, Jr. Endowed Scholarship they started in 2020 to support even more MU students.
"My husband and I looked at ways we could be intentional about supporting the mission of MU," Loleta recalls of their decision to include MU in her plans. "We decided it would be a great foundation for accomplishing our goal of supporting Methodist forever."
